    Sobre este lugar

With Kuala Lumpur Hiking & Trail Running group *WARNING* PERMIT IS REQUIRED in Langkawi. Guide's not needed, though. So, as usual, if y'all decided to do this hike, do it at your own risk. Leeches? Probably, only on the bush-covered, 4WD roads. But, I got none. So, who knows. Mosquitoes? Loads. Bees/Wasps? Probably. Water Source? To be safe, I'd say NONE. So, be well-prepared. Well, pretty much the whole stretch is akin to a cross-country trek, with ZERO forest trail, meandering through villages, plantations and private villas. Y'all get only about a 1/4 of the trek in 4WD/Dirt Road, while the remaining 3/4, in either Tarred Road, or Cemented Road. Basically, a trail runner's wet dream🤣🤣🤣. Sadly, looking at the pace of current developments, right on the Viewpoint area itself, this area will be OFF-LIMIT, pretty soon. The best area for an awesome view has already a villa being built (3/4 ready, as of the date on this trail map) on it, while the clear area below it, seems like already been earmarked for another villa. So, if y'all keen to just witness the view itself, do it as soon as possible. We'll never know how soon the whole area will be closed to public. *UPDATE* Alex (KLH's head honcho) spoke to one of the villa's owner, while recce'ing this particular trail, few days before we were scheduled to do it. Apparently, the villa owner promised to speak to the rest of the residents in the area, and since, coincidentally, he's also the owner of the villa, below the ONLY available Viewpoint area, that he will construct a path through, that will maintain the integrity of the whole viewing area. So, who knows? Seems that y'all in luck. Well, hopefully.... *UPDATE* But, if you don't really care for such things, then, the whole trail is an easy to moderate kinda challenge, in itself. Be warned though, y'all be very exposed to the elements. And don't forget, you're in Langkawi. So, throw in a very unhealthy dose of constant humidity. Be prepared, with either a hat, umbrella, or whatever suits y'all. Also, there is a potential Water Source, naturally flowing from the rock wall. However, it's milky and cloudy. And with soon-to-be heavily populated area, and plantations, here and there surrounding it, from above, I doubt it's even potable. But hey, filter it, throw a tablet in, and let me know. At your own risk, though. Either be prepared with minimum TWO LITERS of liquid, or beg for kindness, from the villages y'all be going in/out of. Your call.
